The article does a great job at explaining thermal ecology to the general public. It was clear and easy to understand, but maybe add more on the thermal ecology of animals and plants or go further in depth on how thermal ecology affects their livelihoods or behavioral patterns (as you said). Maybe even talk about specific species of flora and fauna that would be worth mentioning on this topic.More information needs to be added, but so far it's a good base for the article.

Good use of citations and links for more complex topics.

Make sure you continue to express how this topic is impacting different areas of life and why it's a relevant topic to be writing about (its a very interesting topic - ensure that your readers see that as well).

Also, I don't know if this is possible but maybe talk about specific scientific research in the field of study and link to professional journals surrounding thermal ecology. Those would make the article more credible and bolster your information.

If you want to add the section on the connection between climate change and thermal ecology maybe you can talk about the affect of rising sea temperature on marine creatures/corals (which is a section of my article too actually). Quantitative methods

A discussion of Thermal Performance Curves (TPC) might be appropriate here along with a link from Quantitative ecology. TPC's characterize how organisms respond to thermal stress due to widening temperature extremes caused by global heating. A Google Scholar search on "Thermal Performance Curve" reveals a number of works. A prominent example is:
