[edit]I want to add a comment by Tim Neely, a respected commentator on record issuance matters, author of several books on collecting records in various categories. It it not self-promoting. Here’s the comment-
Record collector and author Tim Neely, author of several Goldmine(magazine) record collector guides, said in 2023 it was a "largely ignored Christmas album until the 1990s, when [The Merriest] became something of a staple on both easy-listening and jazz-oriented CD compilations.
