Title[edit]

Check out Wikipedia:Naming conventions (people) for some ideas about a better title for this article. Using the death date as disambiguation seems search un-friendly. Maybe Thomas Bell (MP), like Thomas Hutchinson (MP)?

This Bell's main fame derives from his thrice mayoralty of Gloucester, rather than his spells as MP. I think the title Thomas Bell (Mayor of Gloucester) is a good one for disambiguation, but it could be shortened to just (Mayor) if necessary. (Lobsterthermidor (talk) 18:34, 1 June 2010 (UTC))[reply]
Peacock tag removed. Now fully referenced with 24 footnotes, and a Source heading quoting Victoria County History, vol.4, Gloucester. All the information I have added to this article is thus sourced, and verifiable. Some of what was already there is unsourced, and I have therefore added the appropriate caveats such as possibly, might etc.(Lobsterthermidor (talk) 19:59, 1 June 2010 (UTC))[reply]
