Thomas Sudhof is a U.S.-citizen:

a.) Thomas Sudhof is a member of the National Acedemy of Sciences and his status is listed as "Member" ==> http://www.nasonline.org/member-directory/members/20002139.html

b.) He is listed with country "United States" ==> http://www.nasonline.org/member-directory/?q=&site=nas_members&partialfields=(member_lastname:sudhof)

c.) Rules and eligibility of Membership of National Acedemy of Sciences: "Members must be U.S. citizens" ==> http://www.nasonline.org/about-nas/membership/

Dual German and American Citizenship

I wasn't able to find exactly when Thomas C. Südhof became a naturalized American citizen but this news shows that he also adopted once again German citizenship in 2013, at invitation of the German government: [1]Mistico (talk) 20:01, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
