[edit]The tombstone inscription is def. the "78th" year...whether or not that's accurate is another story. I've seem sources put his birth at 1696, but they could have just subtracted 78 from 1774. What is the primary source for his birth in the year 1700? TJ0513 17:28, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Incorrect parents indicated - a different Thomas Fitch and Sarah...
[edit]Discussion and research at WeRelate, gives lineage for Gov Thomas Fitch as Thomas0->Thomas1->Thomas2->Thomas3, not Thomas0->Samuel1->Thomas2 who married Sarah Boardman. Both had wives named Sarah, but the maiden name of the mother of Gov Thomas Fitch is presently unknown. --Jrm03063 (talk) 04:15, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
