Title[edit]

I renamed to Thomas Foley (sailor) from the over-done "Royal Navy admiral" Dabn suffix, without realizing there was a Rdr using the suffix "admiral". But i do not regret it: my reading of his bio is that he distinguished himself at lower ranks, and that his admiralty turned out to be an essentially honorary position; the admiral sfx may actually interfere with navigation by leading readers to ignore him bcz they know of only his lower ranks.
Like many editors, i lean toward appositives like "sailor" and "admiral" over contexts like "navy", but contexts are explicitly endorsed, and i have no objection to "navy" is someone prefers that over "sailor".
