i deleted the quote in the top section, about him being a talented writer indeed. I did so because the reference link just led to another anonymous quote, and a google search just produced a dozen such. anyway, think about it. no professional critic said that. heightening horror by concealing it is a pretty well established device. consider for example the ear scene in resevoir dogs - i'd much rather see an ear removed with an exacto knife than an ankle do-si-do with its own dick, on a hard slide into second gone awry. and yet... the ear-scene is unnerving as all get out... because its being concealed from the audience. why did i say think about it: because no professional critic would act as if were a novelty. or. well. they might - but they'd do it anonymously — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.174.7.124 (talk) 11:43, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
