Date of birth[edit]

The article currently has him being born in 1612, a year after his younger brother John, which doesn't make sense. The source for this Feb. 28, 1612 birth date appears to be the Bathsua Makin biography, but this source only says that he was baptized on that date, not born. Earlier versions of the article used a more reasonable 1608 year of birth. I plan to restore the 1608 date and supply a reasonably good source for it, unless somebody objects to the change in the next ten minutes or so.
