[18:06:33] Joshi (nisypisy) : Prof. Dr. Thomas Schrefl, is currently Professor of Functional Materials at the University of Sheffield and joined the Department in 2004. From 2000 to 2006, he was leading the micromagnetism group at the Technical University in Vienna. In 2001 he worked in the IBM labs at Almaden (San Jose) and York Town (New York). He was dedicated to developing a parallel micromagnetic program to the IBM supercomputer Blue Gene. In 2000, he was awarded the START Price of the Austrian Science fund. In 2005, Dr. Schrefl was elected to deliver the honorable Wohlfarth memorial lecture. His research interests are spreading beyond micromagnetic simulations to intelligent materials such as nano-sensor, high frequency oscillators and atomic trap devices for medical applications.

Dr. Schrefl co-authored more than 140 refereed scientific papers. He has given more than 80 invited talks at conferences and Universities. His papers have been cited more than a 1000 times in scientific journals. [18:06:47] thomasschrefl : alles ok [18:06:52] Joshi (nisypisy) : gut.
