This is a brief description of the cultural festival at IIT Roorkee. I wanted people to know about it.

Then you might want to add it to the school's article. We can't have separate articles for every single event at every school. Fan-1967 05:13, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have done that. And this page in fact originated from the school's article online. You could go to IIT Roorkee page and check it. Still thanks a lot for your suggestions.

This doesn't warrant a separate wiki page. At any rate, the content doesn't comply with Wikipedia guidelines. Mkeranat 08:50, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Mkeranat I'm not good at using wikipedia so pardon me for being wikipedia-illiterate. I feel apart from the association of being a cultural festival held at IIT Roorkee there is no other connection. I wish you would learn that this is not an event but much more than an event. It is A festival, occurs on yearly basis in which a lot of people are eagerly waiting for. For the community of students in Uttarakhand, U.P., Delhi it's like a musical festival or a film festival. We are quite serious about this festival as you must have seen a separate web page. We could have had one in our institute site. So a separate page is justified. Also I invite you to Thomso. Please do take your time off and come here, then maybe you can actually decide for yourself.

This article attacks the basics of wikipedia. The authenticity of wikipedia is being used for the promotion of this school event. To keep wikipedia "beautiful" and "spam-free", I think its high time when this page should either be merged with IIT Roorkee page AND/OR deleted!

A highly objectionable way of promoting a school event. Should be deleted.
