"African American" Actors?

[edit]

I'm wondering why Martin Lawrence, Will Smith, and Jada Pinckett Smith are all refered to as "African-American" actors instead of just actors. The page doesn't call out the ethnicity of anyone else on the page, and to do so in these few cases just seems rather gratitous. IvyMike 03:21, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted these references. I didn't notice them before. Also quirky: all the A-A Actors were called POPULAR actors, but no others were. A modern version of the old line "He's a credit to his race." Gone. LorenzoB 05:54, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To call them "African American" actors or "Popular African-American" actors is trying to pinpoint the city has minority residents, but not a good way to represent that. Thousand Oaks is 80 percent white alike nearby Simi Valley was portrayed a bastion of conservative suburban white Americans voting in the Republican party. In relation to the issue, I do know Thousand Oaks and nearby unincorporated Oak Park have one of the highest Jewish American populations per capita in the country. 71.102.13.174 (talk) 01:21, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notable people

[edit]

Shall we attempt to reintegrate a Notable people section back into the page? Meatsgains (talk) 02:45, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

We could, but I'd want every entry to have a reference, like in Westlake Village, California. howcheng {chat} 18:56, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
