  • Too many missing citations, please fix this before renominating. FunkMonk (talk) 06:58, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
While I agree that this article was NOT ready for GA (and specifically recommended against nomination, but that is a discussion for another time - I applaud the enthusiasm of the students who wanted to nominate it), I am curious which particular points needed to be sourced. Every paragraph that doesn't end with a citation, I count at least ten. None would be the minimum requirement for GA. FunkMonk (talk) 17:18, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'll see what I can do about that. Alas, some of those unsourced paragraphs (suborders, life stages) are considered very basic "everywhere knowledge" that goes uncited in most textbooks on the subject. I would be happy to just reference one of the taxonomic textbooks, but that feels lazy. It would probably be better to cite the original Carl Linnaeus‎ documents on the subject - but I'm not sure what the specifics are. Advice? Aderksen (talk) 00:03, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well, nothing is considered "everyday knowledge" here, everything needs to be sourced. And you don't have to cite the original sources, if the same info is covered by another, available source. FunkMonk (talk) 00:08, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
