"...between a rice cake and a mochi."

[edit]

I know that it's a reference to something someone else said, but the last sentence in the article is "A description from Seriouseats described it as cross between a rice cake and mochi." But mochi IS a rice cake. So I don't know what this really means, and personally I don't think it's particularly helpful. Just the term "rice cake" itself covers such a wide variety of foods, I wouldn't even know where to start to understand what this actually means in terms of texture which is...what I assume this is referring to, the texture. Since, although I've never tasted blood, I've heard other people describe it and I really don't think rice cakes and blood have similar flavors...although that's unclear actually, which is also an issue.
