Renaming article as New River Triangle

@Everyone @Daisytheduck, Lelydorp29, Esequiba, Chipmunkdavis, NoonIcarus, WMrapids, SurinameCentral, SOUTHCOM, MonX94, JalenFolf, Festucalex, Gabriel Yuji, Orenburg1, Sleater-Kinsey Scale, SnivyLink2, James Ker-Lindsay, and Uanfala: Hello everyone. I propose that this article be renamed New River Triangle. This is name of the area on the ground (there is no Tigri river or reason given for the Tigri name) so the current title makes no sense. There is a river called New River. Google shows much more hits for New River Triangle. I read the article and still have no idea what Tigri is. It is also administered by Guyana (arguments aside), which refers to it as New River Triangle. Sorry for the ping (hope I did it correctly though). I would rename it but I'm not familiar with how or if I have permission. Thank you. Colombia4001

Hi Colombia4001, those pings will not work as you did not sign this properly. To rename a page you should propose a formal WP:RM, although it would be helpful to have evidence on hand. At a quick glance a google of "tigri area" -wikipedia gives me more social media sites while "new river triangle" -wikipedia gives me a more reliable looking list of results, which is a small nudge perhaps in favour of the move.
