@Adog: Issues are comparatively minor copy changes, removing some roller coaster-y sentences, and then general improvements. 7-day hold. Ping when done. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 02:08, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Copy changes[edit]

History[edit]

  • Consider restructuring the first paragraph to split the "closure and demolition" part and the "permits for a new ride" part
  • This sentence could stand to be reworded: In July 2018, documents were reported about upcoming developments where the previous attraction once stood in Busch Gardens Tampa Bay under the working title "Project TEEL".. Try The documents and permits, reported on in July, discussed upcoming developments on the site of the prior water ride under the working title "Project TEEL".
  • When a {{convert}} is used as an adjective, set |adj=on
  • Comma after "Sky Rocket II model" to balance the appositive
  • "Tigris'" should be "Tigris's" per MOS:'S.
  • By January 2019, the park had the roller coaster's supports three-fifths complete. Awkward wording, and this paragraph reads like a timeline with very similar sentence starts.
  • The roller coaster's opening date was announced by the park on April 4, 2019, scheduled for mid-April. Find a way to integrate this with the following sentence.
  • ✅ Done. Reconfigured paragraphs, wording, and grammar. Took edits into consideration. Adog (TalkCont) 19:51, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ride experience[edit]

  • Reused, no hyphen
  • tigers living conditions needs a possessive here, "tiger's living conditions"
  • ...where it completes a non-inverting half-loop, a heartline roll before... Is a heartline roll a type of non-inverting half-loop? If so, add a comma after "roll". If not, this should be "half-loop and a heartline roll".

Characteristics[edit]

  • Use "gray" instead of "grey" (ENGVAR)
  • Remove comma after "though"; excess "feet" in the same sentence after the convert template
  • eighteen riders a train I'd use "riders per train"

Reception[edit]

  • positives and negatives aspects fix by removing the end S from the first 2 words

Source spot checks[edit]

I reviewed source [4] because I needed to check it for something and then randomly chose five more.

  • [1] Checks out. Look at this ref to see how I handle multipage newspaper clippings. I added a clipping of page 1A.
  • [4] Tampa Bay Business Journal: Confirms claims in all three uses.
  • [6] Bay News 9: Confirms demolition began last month (June 2018).
  • [8] Tampa Bay Business Journal: Confirms announcement, 2019 opening plans, and 2020 Gwazi plans
  • [19] WTSP: Notes press event.
  • [37] Orlando Sentinel: Could not verify because of a broken link.

Other[edit]

  • Earwig mostly catches park attraction and section names.
  • Archive references with WP:IABOT. (One is already dead.)
  • Two freely licensed images and a fair-use logo, all appropriately tagged. All images, including the logo in the infobox, need alt text. Note that Infobox roller coaster did not support alt text for logos or images until I scouted this page out last night and discovered and fixed the omission, so this will be the first use of that infobox with any alt text. I encourage you to apply this to other pages you work with.
  • ✅ Completed alt text and found out how to use the bot, thank you. Adog (TalkCont) 19:51, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Sammi Brie: Thank you for taking your time to review this article! Edits should be completed unless you have any other feedback. Again, I appreciate your time in reviewing! :) Adog (TalkCont) 19:54, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Adog: Just passed. I did make a few final tweaks and rewrote the logo alt text to be more descriptive. Think of it this way: if you had to describe the logo in detail on a telephone call or over the radio, how would you do it? Hopefully my example helps. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 20:40, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Sammi Brie: Yes that does help a lot. I was not too sure how detailed I should have gone, but that clarifies. :) Adog (TalkCont) 20:45, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Claiming this for review! Will do so in a few hours since it's getting late where I'm at ‍ ‍ Your Power 🐍 ‍ 💬 "What did I tell you?"

    • Alright! I've just recovered from the booster shot so I can now get back to this - pinging @Adog as courtesy
      • The article was nominated for DYK the same day it passed GA; long enough and sufficiently cited to RS. Earwig gives a good score
      • QPQ done.
      • All hooks are present in the article and cited to the same sources. No verifiability or OR issues found. I have a personal preference for ALTs 0 and 1 - I think they can prove interesting to a broad audience - though I wish it could be clipped for extra punchiness. I don't think we need to specify the roller coaster manufacturer in both hooks, honestly. Something like ... that the train design for the Tigris roller coaster was revealed in the form of a cake? is better. Though for the most part, we're good to go

  • @Your Power: Appreciate the review :). I hope you are not feeling too bad after the boost. I agree with the more punchy hook as an "ALT 0.5" of the combined hooks. Adog (TalkCont) 16:38, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • ALT 0.5 ... that the train design for the Tigris roller coaster was revealed in the form of a cake? — Here is the hook with links for the mover, thanks to Your Power for the suggestion. Adog (TalkCont) 16:46, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
