Borrowed from Hindustani music?

I have been wondering if there are any thillanas that predate Swati Tirunal. If there are none, that would mean it is a new genre and it would be one more argument for the case that the thillana was borrowed from Hindustani music, although, of course, it could hardly be considered definitive proof. 140.177.205.223 (talk) 19:22, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

ThillanaTillana – This should be spelled as Tillana (Sanskrit: तिल्लान). Also, all the sources call it "Tillana" Nagarjuna198 (talk) 08:19, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
