For future reference: Leber's disease
[edit]"Cordes was just 5 months old when he was diagnosed with Leber’s disease. He wore glasses by age 2, and gradually lost his sight. At age 16, when his peers were getting their car keys, he took his first steps with a guide dog." [1] Young onset seems to suggest that Dr. Cordes had Leber's congenital amaurosis rather than Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy but this is not crystal clear. Edwardian 05:50, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
