Where is Tim?[edit]

Has Tim fallen off the face of the earth? I've not heard or seen anything of him since 2000. Let's start a petition to get Tim back on our TVs. GrimGary (talk) 23:15, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Any chance you could add this link http://www.legacy.com/GetReading/GB/GuestbookView.aspx?PersonId=123660456&PageNo=1 it seems to be the more popular/official tribute page. Death[edit]

Of what did he die? HairyWombat 00:56, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I worked with Tim for maybe ten years. If you wish, I'll tell you the story. Regards, Hengistmate (talk) 12:47, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Better to add it to the article. HairyWombat 17:24, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't meet Wikipedia's criteria - the cause of death wasn't in the papers. It wasn't his heart, which is what everyone supposed at first. Although he was very active (football, marathons, etc) he suffered heart failure in 2006, and was officially dead for a few minutes. He was fitted with a defibrillator, but it seems that his health never fully recovered. IIRC, he was taken into hospital for something that would normally have been fairly minor but was exacerbated by his condition. He might also have been on Warfarin or the like, which doesn't help in such circs. Sadly, he deteriorated very quickly in hospital and died of blood loss and multiple organ failure. Only stuff that is controversial and likely to be challenged needs to be verifiable. I have added the info to the article. See what you think. HairyWombat 22:16, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, Mr. Wombat. I have taken the liberty of amending the entry on Tim's death slightly. As it stood, it could be inferred that there was some incompetence or negligence on the part of the hospital. He was admitted, IIRC, with a minor injury rather than for a pre-arranged procedure. I understand that his pre-existing health problems led to the complications. Hope this is OK. Regards, Hengistmate (talk) 19:36, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

(Let us not be formal; "Hairy" is fine.) Accuracy is good. Excellent. HairyWombat 20:04, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
