Um..why?[edit]

Not sure I understand why it is desirable to have a no-prose article that essentially duplicates History of Anchorage. Beeblebrox (talk) 20:58, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Anchorage city timeline is a list of facts, arranged chronologically. The timeline can also include lots of detail in an economical format; at present it lists only a few events, but many more could be added. In contrast, the History of Anchorage article describes facts as well as broader themes, contexts, interpretations, etc. It also could be expanded, perhaps thematically. See for instance the city of Paris, which has both a History of Paris article and a Timeline of Paris article. -- M2545 (talk) 23:38, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
