Proposed merger[edit]

Discussion on the Ottoman timeline page:

I proposed the merger because the timeline of the Ottoman Empire is very short, and there is a pretty unambiguous continuity between the Ottoman Empire and the Republic of Turkey. Dallyripple 20:49, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Timeline has some errors[edit]

Turkey passed to mulit-party period with 1946 election which ended with the victory of CHP. In 1950 elections, DP gained a huge victory which they would keep in 1954 and 1957 elections. Therefore, the classification of the timeline is not correct. Deliogul (talk) 20:41, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I aggree. I changed the Multiparti period table. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 11:12, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality[edit]

The article contains irrelevant details about Ataturk/Kemalism/CHP. For example:

  • October 1, 1925 - Atatürk opened the Bursa textile factory.
  • March 4, 1935 - Fourth cabinet by İsmet İnönü
  • October 27, 1930 - Greek prime minister Venizelos visited Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in Ankara. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Randam (talkcontribs) 17:53, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV[edit]

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 14:24, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
