An order mistake or a date mistake?[edit]

In the 1944 section of the timeline, the following 2 points are the 4th last and 3rd last entries in the list, respectively:

1944-10-06 – 1944-10-28 – Battle of Debrecen – German Army Group Fretter-Pico surrounded and destroyed Soviet Mobile Group Pliyev of the 2nd Ukrainian Front 1944-09-04 – Soviet Union agrees armistice with Finland

Given the lower entry is dated September and the upper entry is dated October, I'd say they should be reversed. That said, it's also possible that the Finland armistice agreement is dated wrong; there is no linked article to check for confirmation and I don't know World War 2 that well.

Additionally, the Battle of Debrecen article says October 6-29, while this list says 6-28. Again, I'm not an expert on this part of the war, so I can't say which way this should be corrected (surely they should be consistent, but which is right?)

Finally, the point after those 2 mentioned at the start of this post are merely dated "October" - such relatively vague dating probably shouldn't be used if there's any other choice; if the Battle of Belgrade has relatively unclear starting and ending points within October, I've always seen such entries listed before the 1st of the month, rather than at the end of said month.

Done Moscow armistice was signed in Moscow on September 19th. Not sure when it was agreed to, but either way, it went before the battle of Debrecen. Tarl.Neustaedter (talk) 21:39, 27 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
