I’ve thought about this quite a bit and looked at other provincial riding articles and many morph over time. The main part of this riding name is Timmins so I suppose we can carry it forward. Mushkegowuk—James Bay is ready to go already. Outback the koala (talk) 15:40, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why? I’m looking at Algoma—Manitoulin—Kapuskasing and it’s changed names a lot over the years. I think we should simply state the “James Bay” portion was cleaved off legislatively. Outback the koala (talk) 19:15, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is not a minor tweaking or renaming of the riding that happens during redistributions, it is being split in two. Legislatively, T-JB will be dissolved and the new ridings will be created. Both Timmins and Mushkegowuk could claim "successor" rights to this page, so it would be best that neither do. To use the Algoma-M-K example, the riding was split in twain in 1904 into Algoma East and Algoma West, with separate pages for each. FUNgus guy (talk) 05:43, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
