Canker sores[edit]

I have used tincture of benzoin for canker sores for years. Do NOT use heavily. One drop on a q-tip is all it takes. Takes away pain almost instantly. More is NOT better.

Hot Shot and Bleach[edit]

This 17:20, 4 August 2009 edit by 12.107.116.131 add both the name "hot shot" and the mention of bleach which is now tagged ^{"citation needed"}. The previous reference does not mention either of these, but does say "In an emergency, medical personnel can inject tincture of benzoiinto a blister to prevent further abrasion and loss of skin." -- 203.82.95.75 (talk) 11:58, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find a source for it, but this was taught to us in medic school, and again when I got to my unit, and eventually once I myself was an instructor, I taught it yet again.
