Thats better[edit]

I can see someone edited my section on the e-trigger and its progamiing. Thanks. I know I am a bad writer, but I know that section (even before edit) has probably helped thousands of people with their common "how, what, it dosn't work" first time expiriance with the newer E-triggers. The new wording is definately more clear.

Redirect[edit]

We should probably set this to redirect to the Tippmann page, as all it's info is there. Save space maybe? Bpogi92 03:42, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It should at least have a more informative title, perhaps along the lines of the Tippmann 98 custom article? - Maximilli, 22:29, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Barrels[edit]

hey i'm not sure about anyone else but i no for a fact that there are a lot more barrels for the A-5 than just the Flatline (i no of the progressive, and the ceramic JP?? i'm not sure of the exact name of the last one but you get the point). So should we add this stuff in or.... anyways let me know if you do something, or decide to do nothing

flatline[edit]

hey the page talks about the flatline barrel on the tippmann A-5 is hard to clean, and that you have to losen up 3 bolts, and it doesn't screw out.

i personally don't have a flatline but i'm pretty darn sure that on the A-5 it's very easy to clean, and that it screws out. i think the flatline that it's talking about is for the 98 custom.

i'm gonna wait a bit for comments, then completely revamp that section.

  • I do have one and it does NOT screw out, but only 2 pins must be removed

I have been reading reviews on this, and most players claim that the Flatline is extremely accurate; more than almost any other barrel. They also say that balls never break, unless you are using paintballs that are too large for the barrel.--Clegs 17:27, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've used the flatline before, and it's something else... my friend never got his dialed in, so the performance was "iffy". Some shots would sail left, others far to the right, but somewhere near 20-25% of them would fly straight as an arrow. It's really picky with paint, and it seems that no two flatlines are alike. It appears that Tippman's q/a on the flatlines leaves something to be desired. Ball breaks are unforgiving, as I've seen, and not only paint size, but it seems that sometimes velocity can affect that.
Some flatlines are great, but if you are reading the reviews on pbreview.net, you have to realise that none of those posters do any scientific verification of their results. To my knowledge, very few of them have marked an exact firing distance, taken wind, temperature, and humidity measurements, chronographed every shot, and accurately tracked a controlled sample of shots. Impressions are nice, but that's all they are. Science, and encyclopedias demand more. CameronB (talk) 11:13, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reads like an advertisement[edit]

Advertisement? Please. This article does not use the language of commercial advertising. Unless whoever put that tag on would like to argue their case, I propose it be promptly removed. RavenStorm 23:19, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are a few references that some advertisement like. "The A-5 is one of the most modifiable paintball markers in existence." "Continuing the Tippmann tradition, the A-5 is very durable and features a solid cast-aluminum receiver with a high-impact shock absorbing endcap. What position?[edit]

I have an A-5 with flatline & response trigger, but I am not sure what position I should play, although what a gunner does seems to be what I usually do. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.81.53.142 (talk) 23:08, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A5 owners group[edit]

A while ago I listed A5OG.NET in the links section and now I see that its gone. I mean this is the A5 page...why not have a link to the biggest owners group for this marker? It isn't a commercial site so I can't see what the problem is. --Kfedup (talk) 05:59, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bolt position[edit]

The Tippmann A-5 manual states that this marker fires from an open bolt. The manual is available from http://www.tippmann.com/pdfs/products/A5/a5manual.pdf 74.216.121.9 (talk) 00:46, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tippmann A-5 Stock Barrel[edit]

I recently bought a Tippmann A-5 with an E-Grip. It has not been used yet but I have noticed that the standard barrel doesn't fit perfectly snug into the gun. It is slightly wobbly, and can be shaken a little. Obviously it doesn't feel like its about to fall out but I'm curious if this is normal. Can anybody help? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.14.16.71 (talk) 00:52, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

E-Grip[edit]

My E-Grip with the selector switch on my Tippmann A-5 is registering the shot by flashing the light, but the gun wont shoot. Any ideas about what could be wrong?
