Potential slave origins to the original song "Tobacco Road"?[edit]

I believe there could be an older origin to these lyrics. Less "semi auto-biographical" and more "taken directly from the slaves". I am not 100% sure though, hense why this is a discussion. The reason is the melody and subject matter along with the rhythm is extremely typical for a song with much older shared origins often before recording equipment was available. This would suggest the movie "Tobacco Road" was referencing something that exisists perhaps near where Loudermilk grew up. Food for thought.
