Unreferenced[edit]

I have removed the unreferenced tag, as the source of the article is the Encyclopaedia Britannica Eleventh Edition - with only minor amendments - what it really needs though is to be updated.

Agreed. I added a template to the page which requests an update. Bob Burkhardt (talk) 14:13, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It is just the brief text of the 1911 Britannica article. It badly needs updating. Perhaps it should just be merged with an existing article and turned into a redirect. But perhaps as an important route into Afghanistan from Pakistan, it deserves its own page. If it is to continue to stand alone, it also needs an infobox and a map. And more information on the period it does cover would be welcome, including more exact references to the cryptic personalities mentioned toward the end of the article.
