Recent additions to article[edit]

Hoopsworldscout (talk · contribs) has been adding numerous additions with improper sources to the article in the last day. These statements are claimed to be sourced, but the sources are just links to various websites. Those links support the existence of organizations or things that Fuller is involved with, but they do not support the statements in the article. In addition, Hoopsworldscout says he is Fuller which presents a conflict of interest and also brings in WP:AUTO guidelines. Can anyone else examine this situation and make sure the actions taken so far are appropriate? Thanks, Metros 22:15, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is incorrect. Take the time to read the sources. For example, with respect to his career in Spain, the website referenced is a clear reference to the Federacion Espanola Baloncesto (FEB) in Spain. Note the ".es" ending of the website. Also, read the article, in Spanish, it says where Fuller played: various teams in Spain, Greece, Poland, NBA, etc. For www.meckyr.org link, take the time and review this source as well. Under "Officers" tab, it clearly shows Fuller as a campaign Chairman.68.221.241.219 02:37, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, so one source might be legit out of the seven that were added in that section. And linking to the main page of a website and then expecting me or any other user or reader to explore the website in order to find what you're talking about is not a valid source. Also, logging out is not a way to circumvent policies like WP:3RR. Metros 02:40, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect, check all sources www.meckyr.org, is correct under Officers tab shows Todd Fuller. Look under www.voterepeal.com then under "Help Us" tab shows "Todd Fuller." Look under www.feb.es the Spanish Basketball Federation is the basketball federation in Spain, and that article shows Todd Fuller, and his brief career history, in Spanish by that basketball league, in Spanish for high authenticity.

The Speak Out Charlotte link has a clear link to Todd Fuller's blog. 68.221.241.219 02:45, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See, that's the thing...we're not going on searches for your sources. Sources have to be provied, not guessed upon by users by completing a scavenger hunt on a website. Metros 02:51, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I added the Spain article as a reference and added citation needed templates on the other statements about other nation's he's played in. Metros 22:25, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, man, what do you know? It was reverted...go figure. 22:26, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

It is fair that the reader does take at least a moment to review a source, before just dismissing it out of hand, because they do not like the content, or otherwise. Hoopsworldscout 02:27, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Self Added But Only With Valid Outside Sources[edit]

Subject has added text, one line, at the bottom about being a pilot, but only with valid external sources. See JERRY MEEK and JIM GULLEY, both articles have NO sourcing for some or all of their text, and have also been self-edited, but no NPOV complaint is established there. Please see User Metros editing history, he has displayed evidence of personal attacks due to possible personal and/or political reasons by reverting multiple edits on multiple pages edited by user Hoopsworldscout. See: SENSIBLE CHARLOTTE AREA TRANSPORTATION and CHARLOTTE as examples. Hoopsworldscout 03:18, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Subject has not added only one line about being a pilot. The subject has added tons of information about himself. See edits like this, for example. And note how he removed information that didn't portray him in the nicest light. Metros 02:51, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect, quoting one player who has never been a coach, does not represent a balanced viewpoint, it attempts to cast subject in a negative light. No quotes or references exist for comment. Therefore, paraphrases were removed and external links added from a 12 year NBA veteran, and head coach Mark Price. Articles also present a more balanced view, with statistics, and with a sports writers more neutral perspective, rather than a one-sided, one person, and negative point of view.

If you are going to add links that cast negativity on subject, please at list quote the sources properly. Thank you. Hoopsworldscout 03:31, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I said bust without the qualifier of "NBA Lottery" because I just presumed that people would catch on to the fact that that's what's being referred to in the article. If you don't think it was obvious, I apologize and have no problem with the qualifier added in. Metros 03:33, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Metros, ok, I agree too. Thank you. I am glad we can agree on something now. How can the autobiographical warning tag get removed? I believe this article does present a balanced view. I will not remove the tag again, because I know you will simply add it back again, but I would like to have it removed eventually. Please keep in mind the entire history of this article. I did not establish this article, nor did I add most of the original text. My attempt in self-editing was to add external sources, and to provide overall balance. After all, please keep in mind I voluntarily revealed that I am the subject. I did not have to do this. Regards Hoopsworldscout 04:07, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
