Relationship to John Ball (golfer)[edit]

There are references to this family being related to John Ball (golfer). This seems to be incorrect. Contemporary newspapers do not mention it. There seems to be confusion between two families.

John Ball (the famous amateur golfer) was the son of John and Margaret. John was an Innkeeper and they lived in Hoylake. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F737-3HP https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VBNC-3RT

William (Tom's father) was the son of John and Mary.
