The San Diego Reader mistakenly reported in "Who is the Union-Tribune's new owner?" that Tom Gores was of Palestinian decent. You can read his response regarding this point in the letters section that was published Wednesday, May 20, 2009 or view online here - http://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2009/may/20/letters/. Here's an excerpt directly from Mr. Gores, "For the record, my mother is of Lebanese descent, and my father was of Greek descent. The San Diego Reader published an article about Tom Gores in May. [1] Tom Gores responded here. However, the author of the article notes "Except for the fact that we reported that Tom Gores emigrated when five years old, these letters do not seem inconsistent with what we reported in the story." I came across this article, and I have to agree with the ghost editor. There is no reason for this reference. It does not support the statement it follows, so it should be removed. Crinock (talk) 22:09, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
