References, are they correctly put?[edit]

I'm a little unsure if repeating domain names are okay to put in the references. --Robert Adrian Dizon (talk) 06:47, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Terminology[edit]

Tong-its players here in the PH use Tagalog/Filipino terms, I was thinking of creating a table that would have a Filipino to English translation of those terms. Is that okay to put up here? I don't usually see it here in WP.(eg. Pusoy)

Hoping for your kind feedback.. --Robert Adrian Dizon (talk) 07:02, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It seems fine with me. While Wikipedia is not a dictionary, if the list goes towards forwarding the article's message, then it should be okay. --Sky Harbor (talk) 01:51, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting[edit]

When I in 2008 wrote an article about Tong Its on the Swedish Wikipedia with description of the game, rules and strategies, Most of it got deleted and shrunk down to basically nothing.

The reason for the deletion was that "Wikipedia is not a collection of rules", meaning that it was not allowed to describe rules for any card game. Disregarding that then there was already a number of card games with description of rules.

Now I find an article here on the English Wikipedia which is very similar to the one I wrote, and it is allowed here. Well, well... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lazzeman (talkcontribs) 09:35, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Tong-its vs Pusoy Dos[edit]

These games are not similar in my opinion. Tong-its is similar to Rummy. Pusoy Dos is similar-ish to 'Crash' (13 card Brag). 89.243.120.214 (talk) 18:42, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
