The phrase "Over the bereavement of his dog..." is utterly meaningless in English. "The bereavement of his dog" can only mean his dog suffered the loss of a loved one (and sent out cards in black-edged envelopes?), whereas this surely means the main character lost his dog. "Over" is also completely the wrong preposition. This should probably read "After his dog dies...." or perhaps "Because his dog has died...." - it's impossible to guess from the contorted English phrasing. But the German-language version of the article simply reads "Nachdem sein Hund gestorben ist...." ("After his dog has died...."). In any case it's clear that the article was written by someone with a very shaky command of English. How I wish non-native-speakers wouldn't publish English-language Wikipedia articles without having them checked first by a native speaker, or misuse words they don't understand, such as "bereavement".213.127.210.95 (talk) 14:42, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@213.127.210.95: You're entitled to your opinion, but this is a collaborative enterprise and people from all countries are welcome to edit even if their English is not perfect.
