Possibly, I've removed the PROD. The guy has an entry in the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography. As the DNZB article explains, there are a handful of "representative entries" in that work and they do not meet GNG, hence they are listed as part of the encyclopedia article. This page isn't one of the representative entries. Dozens of DNZB entries have been PRODded and taken to AfD; each and every one has been kept. OK thanks, I understand that now. I was working on Draft:Tony Foster (artist) when I checked this one for the disambiguation. You have to admit, new Zealand Tony Foster sounds like a fairly average dude. Maybe that's why the article says so little. User:Schwede66 /User:Stuartyeates I was going to ask what you both think about changing the title to Thomas Foster (academic) or similar, since I found no mentions of "Tony" Foster the academic other than the NZ dictionary which uses Tony once in the last paragraph of it entry. How the DNZB conveys the common name is obscure but yes, it’s often the last paragraph that mentions it. You would not get the common name from obituaries around then as at that time, they would always use birth names (which later moved to always using initials only). Tricky issue. I saw those, but didn't think they gave enough context to say it was him. I added a few more sources to the article, and some details. He's a pretty run of the mill guy, but I guess at some point someone cared enough to put him in the NZ dictionary, and to carry on his nickname for those in the future.
