Proposed deletion

[edit]

I disagree with the claim that "His international appearances were all unofficial". Simple research shows that in November, Jamieson represented the Cook Islands in 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against American Samoa and Tonga, so at least two of his international appearances are official. The fact that these games are reported on the FIFA website also suggests that they are official. (Links: 1 2)

Therefore, I would disagree with the proposed deletion of this article as it means that many other pages of athletes from countries such as Vanuatu, Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga would also be considered non-notable as their appearances are apparently "all unofficial".

Thanks,

At this time he has played a minimum of 20 official international matches for the cook islands.Simione001 (talk) 00:43, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Date of birth

[edit]

The article currently has 1977 in the infobox and the lead, but Category:1974 births and various calculated ages in the text that are consistent with a 1974 birth. Unfortunately the sources disagree as well: www.fifa.com has 1974, but www.worldfootball.net and www.national-football-teams.com have 1977. -- John of Reading (talk) 19:21, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

According to this edit, ticket:2014012810001043 confirms 1974. -- John of Reading (talk) 12:46, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
