Starring

[edit]

I took out the Starring X,Y and Z actor because I didn't think it was very useful. --Alchemist Jack (talk) 15:30, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

COI tag (April 2022)

[edit]

User:Tvdowntown seems to be Tony Vitale. TraderCharlotte (talk) 22:23, 10 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello TraderCharlotte, it appears you have requested that my Wiki page be deleted, though I am not sure why you feel this way. The original article was published by a journalist, and a fan of my first film, KISS ME, GUIDO. Since that time, I have made edits to the article and believed that I was doing ti correctly with the proper references. There are many filmmakers who have had their films, and their body of work (some with much less credibility than I), added to Wikipedia, so I am not sure why you have chosen mine for deletion. I see that you are, or have an affiliation with tastytrade. If I mentioned anything that was written about tastytrade that you do not think it is worthy, then please make the necessary edit. However, please let m know why you think my entire page shod be deleted so I can address your concern. Thank you. Tvdowntown (talk) 00:14, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Revisions and COI removal

[edit]

I have revised this BLP so that it does not have any trace of an autobiographical tone. The subject of the BLP is clearly notable. There are numerous WP:RS and WP:NPOV compliant references from The New York Times, Variety, and elsewhere to his career in the motion picture industry. They are provided as sources in the article. In each source, he is the primary subject of the article, not merely a passing mention. Also, at least three of his productions have separate Wikipedia articles of their own. Finally, his financial securities trading platform, co-owned with another person, was recently purchased for $1 billion. This fact is noted and well-sourced in the article too.

The above paragraph is my rationale for removing the "autobiographical" tag. I will not remove the COI tag until I have had a chance to visit Tvdowntown's talk page, with an explanation of Wikipedia's rules about (NOT) editing one's own BLP. Given the prior comments on this talk page, he doesn't seem to be aware of the procedure for COI editing.-- FeralOink (talk) 15:53, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I followed up with a message about COI edits as promised above.--FeralOink (talk) 09:18, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Update with additional content

[edit]

@Tvdowntown, I am trying to find the recent articles and the interview that you mentioned. Can you provide me with any URLs for them? Also, I found an obituary for a Tony Vitale when I was looking, which I hope is not for you. Although I left replies to you in various other Wiki non-mainspaces locations (that was my doing and fault, not yours!), let's keep our discussion here, regarding these additions. I look forward to hearing from you further. Thank you! --FeralOink (talk) 15:14, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
