"Topp Fight"

[edit]

I wasn't able to find anything through Google about "Topp Fight" that wasn't related to Wikipedia -- pretty unusual for a "popular video game." I also have no idea who "Beau" or Beau's mom are. Is this a real video game? (The mention was added by a user ("Oricalchem") who is no longer on Wikipedia.) And if the game exists, is it so wildly popular that it belongs at the top of the article? This question appears unrelated to the top(p)ic of this entry.--Hugh7 (talk) 03:15, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed split

[edit]

I propose that the article be split into three separate ones:

The two performers are individually notable beyond question; at least since they have received their damehoods. There are aspects to their lives that belong to articles for an individual. Schwede66 02:50, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I sincerely agree. Both people have plenty of coverage on their own. Are they among the most famous New Zealanders without a page of their own? HenryCrun15 (talk) 02:49, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe we need to get our Kiwipedian, a famous woman in red, onto it. Schwede66 04:23, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. I tried to redlink their names but it redirects back to the Topp Twins article. I will instead create draft pages for each of them (I intend to today) and perhaps can get some help with the wayfinding. Pakoire (talk)
Sure. Go for it. Let us know where to find the drafts and I'm sure there will be lots of willing helpers. Schwede66 01:05, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Here is the first one Draft:Jools Topp - I feel some information can be copied over as their early years and career are the same. It is quite draft like at this stage but I will go back and do more tidying up. And of course welcome any input from other editors. There are lots of references with good content. I have also added more citations and flavour into this article on the Topp Twins Pakoire (talk)
Thanks! Make sure you read Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia before you do anything else. We don’t want you to get into trouble. Schwede66 02:21, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well that is a bit too much for my brain right now. I have created the Draft:Lynda Topp article too. Some of the copy is the same - the screenography and awards are not. I will look again later to see if it is better to change the copy or to state the copied bits. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pakoire (talkcontribs) 06:05, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

All done. I've tidied things up and it's now all published. Thanks for all your good work, Pakoire. Schwede66 21:07, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
