Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Toronto Transit Commission incidents. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. Murders

Why are murders such as Mariam Debra Peters not listed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.54.53.190 (talk) 13:30, 31 March 2017 (UTC)

Someone forgot to do so. It would be great to add that. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 01:19, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

Coronavirus pandemic

@Johnny Au and Joeyconnick: Please comment. TheTrolleyPole (talk) 19:31, 3 April 2020 (UTC) I see that on March 15 User:Johnny Au added the prohibition: "Do not mention the coronavirus pandemic until a lockdown announcement is official". This is in addition to the pre-existing guideline "ONLY MAJOR INCIDENTS involving deaths, multiple injuries or MAJOR (multi-day) service disruptions, or events that have significantly changed policies and the way the organization operates should be placed in this list". I'm not sure if the current lockdowns are "official" (although one could be fined for violating them), but there certainly are "MAJOR (multi-day) service disruptions". I would like to add a separate section about summarizing service disruptions and precautions during the coronavirus pandemic. It would be a brief summary (several paragraphs) of the TTC's coronavirus notice plus additional information from the Toronto Star. Coronavirus is at least as important as Toronto Transit Commission incidents#Motorists entering streetcar tunnels which has its own section. I will not alter section Toronto Transit Commission incidents#2020s. Any objections? TheTrolleyPole (talk) 19:31, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

The coronavirus pandemic is no doubt major. I would personally add it, but I would like Joeyconnick's opinion about it as well. The only reason why I included the note prohibiting the coronavirus mention is that Joeyconnick reverted my edit that mentioned it outside the note. I hold no grudge against him. If you're including a summary of service disruptions, please let's keep it to that: a summary. Not like "this bus has this many extra buses, and that route cut rush hour service, and these days the subway ran these weird hours." There's a huge tendency on TTC-related pages to go into real minutiae. If this is the edit we're referring to, that is way too much detail for something overall minor that doesn't affect the TTC as a whole. If, like in Vancouver, buses became free to ride and had half their seats shut and switched to rear-door only boarding, that's worthy of mention. It's a matter of scope. —Joeyconnick (talk) 04:17, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

Subway surfing incident

Should we mention the subway surfer in this article? Here is the video of the man surfing on a Line 2 train in question. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 23:39, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

I went ahead anyways. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 02:21, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
100% no. Isolated incident, no sustained coverage, etc. —Joeyconnick (talk) 20:36, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
Thanks. It makes absolutely perfect sense. Wikipedia isn't news after all and does not aim to compete with the likes of Reddit or Twitter. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 02:04, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
