Mexico[edit]

In Mexico the "touch football" is also known with the nickname of "tochito", nickname from the name of the game.

Merge with Flag Football or Street football (American)?[edit]

Touch and flag football are effectively just variations of the same game. The only difference is that tackling is accomplished via flag-pulling or hand-contact. Street football (American) falls under the same umbrella. I see no reason for these not to be combined in a single article. The heading could be any of the three, or something like Non-tackle American football. Otherwise we will have three different versions of the same article varying only with regard to the specifics of what constitutes a tackle. Thomas Craven (talk) 15:28, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

According to the article, street football involves tackling, so it is somewhat different from either touch or flag football. in my experience, touch football tneds more towards the informal, pickup vafriety of game, often with ad hoc rules; whgile flag football is more often played in organized situations, however i have on rare occasions seen people tear args into strips for a pickup game of flag.Wschart (talk) 19:14, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This sentence was poorly placed in the rules section of the article. Two Touch football[edit]

I see some mention of "tackling" requiring two hands to be placed on someone. But I've always heard it and myself referred to it as "two touch" football, opposed to one touch that some people prefer. Two always seemed to work better and gave both the runner and defense a level field that I feel better emulated the conditions of which most play stopping tackles occur in traditional football just without the tackling.

If this kind of detail is to be added to the entry, it needs to be supported with references to reliable sources. Currently, the entry lacks sufficient sources.
