I will review this article for GA class. I read the note that says this article was translated from French to English. At first glance, the translation looks good. Here is my plan. (1) Make some minor corrections to get the best English translation. (2) Write a list of things in my review that I believe should be fixed. Djmaschek (talk) 02:32, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

GA Review notes below. Please note that I have also made a number of edits to the article. Djmaschek (talk) 05:30, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Well-written = See comments below.
    • Location: I edited the photo so the castle is on the right. The file "alt" has the castle on the left; please fix. I believe "plateau" is a better word than "esplanade". The English dictionary gives this definition for esplanade. (1) A long, open, level area, typically beside the sea, along which people may walk for pleasure. (2) An open, level space separating a fortress from a town. Where I live in the USA, esplanade is used to describe the grass separation between lanes of traffic on a city boulevard or street. So I think the word will be confusing to Americans. Most Americans know plateau is a flat-topped hill.
    • Before the castle: The last sentence of paragraph 3 needs a citation. Please add links: Sion Cathedral, Rhône and Drance.
    • Construction: Boniface du Challant link should be in the introduction, not here. In the castle diagram, "Citern" should be "Cistern".
    • Constant conflict: Crossbow tiles - do you mean crossbow bolt? Please add links: Bishops of Sion, Amadeus VI, Count of Savoy & Amadeus VII, Count of Savoy (Amédée).
  • Verifiable = yes.
  • Broad = yes.
  • Neutral = yes.
  • Stable = yes.
  • Illustrated = yes.
GA class. Nice work. All my recommendations (above) were followed except using the word "plateau". Djmaschek (talk) 04:58, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
