His life as Toyble?[edit]

Should his dojinshi career under the name "Toyble" be added to the article? 177.190.77.33 (talk) 22:14, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No. The article clearly states he worked as a television director previously and never desired to be a manga artist. The idea that Toyotarou is Toyble is nothing but speculation by fans. Xfansd (talk) 22:53, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've just done a little looking around on the subject, there are a couple of sources on this in other languages: IGN Latin America: [1] Wired (italian): [2] IGN does get specifically listed as a reliable source for this under WP:RSP. Wired is on that list as well, though only marked for science and technology. There's also a Comicbook.com article in English [3] but I'm unclear if that's considered reliable. --ERAGON (talk) 18:37, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've re-added the Toyble pen name, using the IGN, Wired and CBR sources. On the reliability of CBR we are already using other articles from that site heavily elsewhere in the section. Happy to discuss further if anyone wishes to dispute. --ERAGON (talk) 15:21, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
When a "journalist" writes something without verifying it they are no longer "reliable". Obviously IGN Latin America has different standards than English IGN, just like how Spanish Wikipedia has different standards than English Wikipedia. All of those articles just state that they are the same person without explaining why readers speculate it. I'm specifically referring to how there is nothing to support this claim of them being the same person. WP:QUESTIONABLE sources that "rely heavily on rumors and personal opinions" are "generally unsuitable for citing contentious claims" about living people. Now that you've added this to the article there's going to be a bunch of WP:CIRCULAR articles being written by "journalists" who use Wikipedia as a reference.
