Name of Macedonia

[edit]

Please stop revert warning and messing internal links. We have an article about this country, which named Republic of Macedonia, so this name should be used also in this article. You are welcome to use FYROM or Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, while the article named Republic of Macedonia will be renamed accordingly.Beagel 05:35, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Map

[edit]

Could anybody to create a map of this pipeline? The map from the company is available at this page, but unfortunately this is not free for use. Beagel (talk) 19:26, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article now includes a map so I removed the map requested template. Transpoman (talk) 17:06, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Political support

[edit]

The 'Political support' section currently includes three sentences; of them two sentences are about signing intergovernmental documents which is an integral part of the history of this project. Therefore I propose to merge this section with the 'History' section. Beagel (talk) 05:51, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs updates: route, map, political developments

[edit]

The length of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline is different now (approx. 870 km), and the starting point too (Kipoi at the Turkish-Greek border, not Komotini). All the key facts are on the first page of this document prepared by an independent organisation, for example. ( http://www.energy-community.org/pls/portal/docs/2052179.PDF ) or on the official website ( http://www.trans-adriatic-pipeline.com/tap-project/route/)

The Route and Techincal description repeat some of the information, which is probably not necessary (total length, offshore length).

The map needs to show full line starting at the Greek-Turkish border, not at Komotini, but at Kipoi.

There were quite many important developments recently, like Third Party Access exemption granted by the European Commission and National energy regulators. (http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/05/17/energy-gas-pipelines-idUSL6N0DY2W320130517 ) or here is the official document published by the European Commission (http://ec.europa.eu/energy/infrastructure/exemptions/doc/doc/gas/2013_tap_decision_en.pdf)

The section Alternative projects has outdated information (and contradicts correct information from the Supply Sources section): Greece-Italy pipeline or more correctly ITGI project is not Trans Adriatic Pipeline's competitor any longer, it has been excluded from the competition by Shah Deniz Consortium. TAP is currently in competition with Nabucco West. Klaipeda alice (talk) 07:20, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Shititzu (talk) 12:21, 11 June 2015 (UTC)== Project Company ==[reply]

Hi: Kjetil Tungland is no longer TAP's Managing Director. Ian Bradshaw was appointed as TAP Managing Director at the beginning of 2015. This Reuters article reports on the change. http://uk.reuters.com/article/2015/01/07/energy-tap-management-idUKL6N0UM1IM20150107 It would be great if somebody could take into consideration this development. Thank you kindly!Shititzu (talk) 12:20, 11 June 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shititzu (talkcontribs) 09:45, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Trans-Adriatic PipelineTrans Adriatic Pipeline – The page was moved to its current title by edit summary "Orthography". Overover, Trans Adriatic Pipeline is a proper name of the project and is spelled this way also at the website of the project company ([1]). Therefore it should bee moved back to Trans Adriatic Pipeline. Beagel (talk) 06:44, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
