Clean up or delete[edit]

This reads like a commercial, not an encyclopedia entry.Aileron Spades (talk) 05:23, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It certainly needs a severe rewrite for neutrality, but don't delete it. Transocean actually was a very important U.S. non-scheduled carrier in the 1940s and 1950s, and it definitely counts as notable. --Colin Douglas Howell (talk) 06:33, 31 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It sure does read in an overly promotional fashion (downright breathless in places), despite that it was noted as such a year and a half ago. --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 16:37, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Looking back at the history, I think the problem is that most of the content was added by Jeane Kennedy, the chairman of the Transocean Air Lines Alumni Association and daughter of the late Frank Kennedy, one of Transocean's most important pilots. So her perspective is naturally laudatory. I doubt she was aware of Wikipedia's policies about conflict of interest and maintaining a neutral, encyclopedic tone. --Colin Douglas Howell (talk) 18:23, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I added a section about bankruptcy. It's very short though and should be expanded. –Jérôme (talk) 23:45, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
