Public Transportation

[edit]

Considering how much is written about each highway we could write a few lines about the VTA light rail, and the SF Muni Metro. --JVittes 22:45, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think the Napa Valley Wine train should be listed under mass transit here, if there is no objections to it I'll soon go ahead and remove it. --JVittes 04:49, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Why nothing about SFMTA's cable cars? Richardc020 (talk) 16:35, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Public Transit is easily accessible within two blocks of any residence in San Francisco. Muni and BART are among the most popular forms of transit and easily link the City to Oakland, Berkeley, San Jose, and more. There is an international airport in San Francisco. Bicycling is also a very common form of transportation among residents, as several main roads are marked off with designated bike lanes.

Here's an extensive official resource from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (San Francisco Bay Area): http://bicycling.511.org/

" An informational [WWW]website is available to bicyclists thanks to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. The site [ http://bicycling.511.org/ ] offers maps, safety information, and even help with choosing a bike.

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Transportation in the San Francisco Bay Area's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 21:17, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
