Mythical

[edit]

Isn't this a real muscle? Why is it 'mythical'? Even if there is a good reason for this term, it needs to be explained. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.129.210.2 (talk) 20:05, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Neck movement

[edit]

We have mentioned how the trapezius affect scapular movement when the neck is stabilized. Yet I think I recall that if the scapulae are stable that the traps can affect the movement of the cervical spine, particularly the upper fibers. Does anyone have incite on how we could expand the article related to this? Can the upper traps affect things like flexion, side flexion, rotation or extension? In particular I was under the impression that both sides of the trap firing together caused the neck to extend if the scapulae are stable. DB (talk) 21:50, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disorders

[edit]

This article could be improved with a discussion of disorders of the muscle and treatment thereof. Jeisenberg (talk) 16:12, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nerve Supply

[edit]

Motor supply from cervical spinal nerves, as noted in the box on the upper right, seems to be controversial, and it's contradicted in the main body text. What's the best way to deal with this? 2601:448:C500:1F53:21C:B3FF:FE74:2848 (talk) 02:12, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Best way is to find a reliable source like a book to back this up, then create an account and edit the article :). --Tom (LT) (talk) 22:28, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
