I can't find any news site that says perhaps as a political action and to me it seems it's like Richardcavell's point of view and not a NPOV or maybe it's just the way I read things. -- Bidgee 05:51, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I dunno, it is speculation, but a valid point. Considering the tree's signifigance, its poisoning does raise some questions. -ashandil --58.107.35.222 14:06, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia isn't here for what we think, it's here for facts. I have no problem with it staying as long as it has a reliable source as a cite. -- Bidgee 14:11, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have some sad news about Clone #25 which was given to Professor Graham Schaffer, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology at The University of Queensland, for his 50th birthday, which he then on-gifted to UQ:

Alas, the November 2014 Brisbane Severe Storm felled it. It may not survive. JonKloske (talk) 23:56, 1 December 2014 (UTC) Great news! Clone 25 appears to have regrown from the stump! JonKloske (talk) 00:04, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Description section needs updating

[edit]

The description section comes from the Queensland Heritage Register entry which was created before the 2006 poisioning and subsequent preservation and memorialisation. While I have removed the obviously wrong things like "the tree is still healthy", I am unsure whether other statements about fences, garden beds and plaques are still true. From the photo of the preserved tree I suspect they might not be but I can't tell what's outside of our view in that photo. Kerry (talk) 06:29, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Everytime I get one and onece? or on? the question ..

[edit]

Tree of Knowledge (Australia)Tree of Knowledge, Barcaldine – There is also a heritage-listed Tree of Knowledge in Camooweal with its own article. Therefore I propose this article be moved to Tree of Knowledge, Barcaldine for consistency with the other article. Aydoh8 (talk | contribs) 04:17, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
