Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it is very much like the American academic, Wynne Chin which has been on Wikipedia for years. Indeed, both are recognized researchers in named colleges of business and both were elected Faculty Senate President twice. In other words, precedent has been set for accomplished academics. Chin's and Hale's academic careers are very similar.

@Bhkdynamo: regardless of whether this person is notable, you have added very specific info about Hale's likes and hobbies. If you know the subject in a personal or professional capacity, you may have a conflict of interest in writing with a neutral point of view. Highlighting trivia like wine enjoyment and Mario Kart hobbies is absolutely what Wikipedia is not about. This is an encyclopedia, not a LinkedIn, Facebook, or publicity platform. --Animalparty! Hatnote[edit]

At Wikipedia:Disambiguation, it says: If the titles of two articles differ only in capitalization, pluralization, spacing, or punctuation (as per WP:DIFFCAPS or WP:PLURALPT), the articles each should contain a hatnote to link to each other: for example Ice cube and Ice Cube. User:Bhkdynamo, can you please explain why you believe you must remove the hatnote, given that Trevor Hales and Trevor Hale would meet that definition? Schwede66 21:10, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

And further, I see you added "best selling university textbook" and that is not in the source. Animalparty previously suggested that you have a conflict of interest and when I look at this article, that seems to be the case. Can I suggest that you do not edit the article any further, unless you can explain here that you don't have a COI? Half of your mainspace edits are at this bio (the only article you created) and the other half at Penn State Nittany Lions men's volleyball. Hale's bio states that he played for that team, which is unreferenced. This has all the signs of a COI editor. Schwede66 21:18, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
