Re-Write[edit]

Hello, everyone. In the last month I've done full re-writes of the Wikipedia pages for Hasan Piker and Steven Bonell. I rewrote those pages because I found them extremely lacking as far as Wikipedia's style, notability, and objectivity standards go, and I think that it's important for online/gaming personalities to have articles that are just as good as those for celebrities in more respected industries. In keeping with this pattern, I'll be working on a rewrite for this page over the next few days, so expect to see big additions one day at a time (this re-write will take longer as 1) this page is shorter and 2) there exist no features written about Jefferson yet). I'll be posting updates replying to this thread, explaining my additions and changes as I make them. Please feel free to discuss approval or disapproval of those changes here after they're made. Okay, the rewrite is finished and I have flagged this page for reassessment. Here are the cliffnotes to my process:

1) I've removed non-notable events such as Jefferson's speedruns of Crash Bandicoot and his history as a Yu-Gi-Oh player. While these are interesting, they have not been covered by any secondary sources, so they do not belong in this article.

2) I read through every source I could find on Jefferson and put together a career overview broken into two parts--speedrunning and Twitch. The former focuses on his activities as a professional gamer, while the latter focuses on his career and controversies specifically as a live-streamer. The latter also details his foray into political activism, which was not addressed in the previous article. Every single claim here is sourced, and every event or period included was covered by more than one secondary source--the only exception may be some details included in the Kotaku feature, but I consider features to be a more substantial source.

3) I've included a section dedicated to the controversy surrounding the TriHard emote. As I've sourced, the emote is the most popular on Twitch, and its racist misuse has been written about in several sources, leading me to believe it is more than notable enough to include on Jefferson's page (since it is not extensive enough to deserve a page of its own). I created a separate section because I believe it is a separate issue from his career, considering its racist use has next to nothing to do with him or his own streams. I have called the section "TriHard controversy," but I am open to discussing different name suggestions.

4) I updated some stats in the infobox and added Steven Bonnell as an associated act, since their podcast was covered by several news sources after it ended.
