Great Music
[edit]Trip Shakespeare was a fantastic band to listen to and to see live. During the late 80s I was a DJ and programmer at my college radio station - they were in heavy rotation ("Toolman of Brainerd" and "Two Wheeler, Four Wheeler" from Are You Shakespearienced?). During shows, Elaine played her kit while standing - she was very short, like 5'2".
Also (and maybe unfortunately) the had been mentioned in Rolling Stone as a band to be on the watch for. I don't have the issue or an on-line citing readily available, but they were on a page with 2 other bands.
I still listen to all their recordings.
It is too bad their stuff was largely ignored. Music is enjoyable and the lyrics are bit more than the standard bubble gum pop or angst filled posturing of grunge of thier contemporaries. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.208.235.66 (talk) 15:27, August 29, 2007 (UTC)
Munson is now part of a jazz trio called "The New Standards". http://www.thenewstandards.com/ I saw them in concert in St. Cloud in perhaps November 2007. I saw them again on December 6 2008 at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul. In fact, Matt Wilson made a cameo and sang MacArthur Park. It was very cool! I believe this was the third annual Christmas concert that the New Standards did, if I remember what they said correctly. Markminn07 (talk) 00:09, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
upgrades needed
[edit]At the very least, there should be articles on the rest of Trip Shakespeare's releases. However, I can just see someone labeling them as "non-notable" and them getting deleted, if they were started. Whatever. Gringo300 (talk) 04:16, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
