is it possible triphos is a compound class? The aldrich catalogue lists both triphosphines as triphos. This link agrees with content in the current article. V8rik (talk) 19:20, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

IUPAC Compound "Triphos"

The IUPAC Red Book for Inorganic Nomenclature identifies the "triphos" ligand as such: [(phenylphosphanediyl)bis(ethane-2,1-diyl)]bis(diphenylphosphane)

Neither of the compunds on this page are identified by this name, however, since they are quite nontrivial, I cannot verify if they are identical to the IUPAC Name.

Please note also that the IUPAC source also states that the name triphos should not be used for "PhP(CH2PPh2)3".
