More inforamtion ?

Surely for this being an armed conflict there must be more information about it out there, searches for Tripolitanian civil war only return news articles for fighting during the 2011 Libyan civil war unfortunatley. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.3.211.205 (talk) 12:44, 26 December 2011 (UTC)

Requested move 25 January 2016

The result of the move request was: No consensus to move. True that we don't have an article on any other Tripolitanian war, but that doesn't mean there wasn't a notable one. With the opposing comments below, I would need more evidence that this is primary for the concept to see a consensus to move. (non-admin closure)  — Amakuru (talk) 12:13, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

1793–95 Tripolitanian civil warTripolitanian Civil War – Do we really need the years in the title? What are we differentiating this from? Charles Essie (talk) 17:20, 25 January 2016 (UTC) Relisted. Jenks24 (talk) 09:01, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

  • For information and disambiguation. There have been many wars and battles in Libya. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 23:06, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
  • But none of them share the name "Tripolitanian Civil War". Charles Essie (talk) 23:14, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
  • Oppose. A quick search on Google Books indicates that (1) "Tripolitanian Civil War" (capitalised) is not a term used in any secondary literature—hence WP:NCE prevails—and (2) there were other civil wars in Tripolitania. This source discusses a Tripolitanian civil war in the 1830s. —Nizolan (talk) 20:38, 26 January 2016 (UTC)
  • Then why is there no article for that one? Charles Essie (talk) 21:18, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
