Error!
[edit]Error! Trocadéro is not a Parisian district, but corresponds to the district of Chaillot—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.202.11.147 (talk • contribs) .
- (You should sign your comments on the discussion pages, with “--~~~~”.) As for the comment itself, there is no indication that the word “discrict” is used in a precise administrative sense, so you can't call it an “error”. (Had the administrative sense been meant, the French word would have been used.) But you're welcome to add a clarification such as: “administratively, this is the quartier of Chaillot”—or whatever. --Gro-Tsen 17:24, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
I know I'm almost 15 years late to this, but the neighborhood ("quartier") is known as Chaillot, not Trocadéro, according to French Wikipedia: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quartier_de_Chaillot. A cursory web search on my part yielded far more references to Chaillot than to Trocadéro. Just saying... Mpaniello (talk) 00:07, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
POV
[edit]No strong feelings on this one, but "Trocadero, unfortunately, restored the autocratic Spanish Bourbon Ferdinand VII..." seems rather POV to me. While disliking autocracy is a pretty widely-held POV, I imagine that Ferdinand VII was not alone in think this a fortunate occurrence. Or would that be taking the position too far?Czrisher (talk) 15:39, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
- I removed it now! But there is no reason to wait. The whole sentence was empty apart from proclaiming its authors political views. Str1977 (talk) 17:34, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Gilles Poitou?
[edit]Not a big deal, but footnote 13 is rather odd, giving just "Manny di Branson aka Gilles Poitou" as the entire citation. Mpaniello (talk) 23:59, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
